You’ve seen it in the mirror, that soft pink flap of skin at the back of your mouth from which a little blob of flesh dangles toward your tongue (the uvula). Homely, yes. But it plays an important role in eating, coughing, sneezing, yawning, speaking and singing.
Passion for great music, and fascination with the human voice have sustained my 45-year career as a private voice teacher. My students run the gamut from beginners through professional singers; I teach opera singers, recitalists, cantors, choral singers, and jazz singers. I also work in conjunction with speech therapists and otolaryngologists to restore healthy technique and self confidence in injured or ill singers. All of this…in my home studio in Robbinsdale, MN.
