GETTING STARTED

Interested? Contact Lila to set up a 60 minute vocal evaluation during which she will ask about experience & education, style preferences, health & exercise and short & long term goals.

• Arrive with a cold voice so Lila can observe your voice during warm-up.

• Sing two pieces of music: 1) Something easy, familiar and comfortable. 2) Something difficult, challenging...even frustrating.

• If you have a vocal resumé and repertoire list, bring them.

• Please be prepared to record your session on one of your devices.

At the close of your evaluation, you will hear Lila's assessment of your vocal characteristics, vocal health, technical strengths & weaknesses, and suggestions for an individual learning plan to meet your needs.

After your evaluation, listen to the recording to assist you in your decision about joining the studio. If you feel comfortable with the teaching style and have confidence in Lila's ability to help you reach your goals, then contact her again to set up a series of 4 lessons. At the completion of the first 4 lessons another evaluation will help to determine if you wish to continue with LOVS indefinitely.

If LOVS doesn't feel like a good fit, don’t feel awkward, just let Lila know.
